Refund Policy

1. Overview

 

Aurora Access, Inc. provides professional advisory services including fractional CFO support, U.S. tax compliance and advisory, and cross-border finance advisory. Because our services involve the investment of professional time, expertise, and preparation, our general policy is that fees paid for services rendered are non-refundable.

This Refund Policy explains how fees are handled across our different service and billing structures. All engagements are also governed by a separate engagement letter, which will specify the applicable fee arrangement and any engagement-specific refund terms.

 
 
2. General Policy — Services Rendered

 

Once professional work has commenced, fees paid are non-refundable. This applies regardless of the outcome of the engagement, changes in the client's business circumstances, or the client's decision to discontinue the engagement after work has begun. Professional services, by their nature, involve the irreversible investment of time, analysis, and expertise.

 
 
3. Refund Terms by Fee Structure

Monthly Retainers

  • Monthly retainer fees are due at the start of each billing period and are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced.

  • Clients may cancel a retainer arrangement going forward with written notice as specified in the engagement letter. No refund will be issued for the current billing period.

  • Unused retainer hours or capacity within a billing period do not carry forward and are not refundable.

 

Fixed-Fee Projects

  • Fixed fees are agreed upon in advance and set out in the engagement letter. Once work has commenced, the full fixed fee is earned and non-refundable.

  • If a fixed-fee project is cancelled by the client after work has begun but before completion, Aurora Access will invoice for the portion of work completed, and any amounts already paid in excess of that portion will be credited toward future services.

  • If a fixed-fee project is cancelled by Aurora Access before any work has commenced, a full refund will be issued within 10 business days.

 

Hourly Billing

  • Fees for completed hourly work are non-refundable.

  • If a client disputes hours billed, they should raise the concern in writing within 14 days of receiving the invoice. Aurora Access will review the matter in good faith.

  • Any advance deposits for hourly work that are unused at the conclusion of an engagement will be refunded within 10 business days of engagement close.

 

Subscription Plans

  • Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually as specified) and are non-refundable for the current subscription period.

  • Clients may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will be made.

  • Annual subscriptions cancelled mid-term are not eligible for a prorated refund of the remaining period, unless otherwise specified in the engagement letter.

  • If Aurora Access discontinues a subscription plan, clients will receive a prorated refund for any unused prepaid period.

 
 
4. Cancellation by Aurora Access Before Work Commences

 

If Aurora Access cancels an engagement before any professional work has commenced, a full refund of any fees paid will be issued within 10 business days. Aurora Access will notify the client promptly and provide an explanation where possible.

5. Introductory Consultations

Introductory consultations offered through our website are complimentary and do not involve a fee. No refund policy applies to these sessions.

6. Billing Disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us in writing at info@auroraaccess.com within 30 days of the charge. We will review all billing disputes promptly and in good faith, and respond within 5 business days. Disputes not raised within 30 days of the charge date are considered accepted.

 
 
7. How Refunds Are Processed

 

Where a refund is applicable under this policy:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days of approval.

  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

  • Aurora Access is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors.
